Snow is predicted again today (Dec. 27) as this column is written. This area has had a lot of winter weather even if the winter season began less than a week ago according to the calendar. Icy conditions are still a problem on parking lots. and the gutters at street intersections are a hazard with lots of water and ice in them. As this column is completed, dense fog is present which makes for pretty scenery on the vegetation, but hazardous for driving.

It's difficult to write a column that will be a week old before it is read. The next column will be written on the normal day, Monday, Jan. 7. It's not too late to report your holiday guests at that time. We hope everyone had a nice Christmas. We wish all readers a blessed and happy New Year.
