Congratulations to the Kensington Goldbug boys
for taking first place in the Cheyenne
Conference basketball tournament at
Phillipsburg Friday night. They defeated the
Eastern Heights Mustangs by a sizeable score.
A large crowd of fans from both schools was in
attendance. Kensington will travel to Eastern
Heights Friday evening for a regular season
game and that will probably be the last
contest between these two schools before the
consolidation into the Thunder Ridge Longhorns
next fall..
The Kensington Lady Bugs defeated the Logan
girls for third place. The teams were closely
matched with Kensington coming out on top
with a score of 45-42.

A water main sprung a bad leak in the south
east part of town on East Cottonwood
Monday. The city was without water during the
noon hour while repairs were being made. Why
is it that everything you want to do depends
on water (or electricity) when it is not
available?
As this is written Monday afternoon, it is a
nice winter day with sunshine. News for this
column is as scarce as "snow in July" as
everyone is probably running necessary errands
before the next Arctic front moves in later
this week; however, very little moisture is
forecasted at this time.
