Only two words describe the weather the past week, hot and humid. Kensington city received .30 rain in a fast developing afternoon thunderstorm Saturday afternoon with heavier amounts south of town. Large hail was reported in the Prairie View area. With the lush crops growing so beautifully, this would be very devastating. Lawn mowing keeps everyone busy along with the necessary farm work and gardening. Forecasters predict temps in the triple digits most of this coming week so the air conditioners will be working overtime.
