St. John Lutheran Church
Evangelical Lutheran Church of America
St.
John Lutheran Church ELCA, was founded in 1885.
It was ten years after Kansas was granted statehood
in 1861 that the western part of Smith County and
the eastern edge of Phillips County were homesteaded
by pioneers from eastern Nebraska, eastern section
of the United States and Germany. A large
portion of these settlers were of the Lutheran
faith.

As
we celebrate our 127th on Feb. 2, 2012, we choose 1 Peter
2:9 "But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood,
a holy nation, God's own people, that you may
declare the wonderful deeds of him who called you
out of darkness into his marvelous light." It
reminds that we exist by the grace of God to honor
and serve Him.
Pastor Lorna Paulus, Phillipsburg, is our interim
Pastor.
Our worship service begins at 9:00 a.m. every Sunday
morning. Our communion services are the first Sunday
of the month. Sunday School follows with classes for pre-school through adult. If
you believe that Christ is your Lord and Savior, you
are welcome to commune. The church office is
open each morning, Monday through Friday, or give us
a call at 785-476-3155 so we can better serve you.
Be Blessed! Remember He died for you, live for
Him.
Listen to our Worship
Service every Sunday Morning 10:45 via the Radio at
KQMA 92.5 Phillipsburg or on the World Wide Web at www.kkankqma.com.
